Spiritual direction is a practice of listening, with a companion, for the voice and movement of God in your life. The Martin Institute's Incarnatio Center provides a limited number of spiritual direction grants for faculty, staff and students who are interested.
Why might I meet with a spiritual director?
- To listen for God鈥檚 Spirit and direction in your life
- To be encouraged by a supportive companion
- To wrestle with questions (about God, faith, identity, etc.)
- To learn to pay to attention to the movement of God in your life in an intentional way
- To discern God鈥檚 guidance in a season of transition or discernment鈥

Capax Dei (鈥淪pace for God鈥) spiritual formation groups meet weekly in a variety of locations both on- and off-campus. Led by faculty, staff and alumni, Capax Dei groups foster a deeper walk with God through prayer and reflection on Scripture, and provide an introduction to the classical spiritual disciplines of the Christian faith. Examples of groups include 鈥淟ectio Divina,鈥 鈥淓vensong,鈥 and 鈥淧raying Through the Psalms.鈥
