Low-Temperature Superconductivity
Dr. Kihlstrom graduated from Stanford University and earned a master鈥檚 degree and doctorate in physics there. He joined the 四虎影院 faculty in 1984. He has worked as a research physicist at Superconducting Technologies Inc. doing temperature-dependent microwave measurements on superconducting filters. He was also a visiting researcher at Conductus Inc. where he focused on research on SQUID magnetometers and digital superconducting electronics. As a research associate at the Naval Research Laboratory, he established a superconducting tunneling program and UHV sputtering of superconductors. He has won the Faculty Research Award at 四虎影院 and the Teacher of the Year Award in Natural and Behavioral Sciences three times.
