Student Life Policies and Procedures Golf Carts

Many 四虎影院 employees use golf carts in their work for the college. A limited number of golf carts are also available on a temporary basis through the Health Center or the Athletics Department to students who have a temporary medical condition that would make it extremely difficult to walk through the campus. Because unauthorized use of these golf carts is highly disrespectful and inconvenient to the people who need and use them, the college takes it very seriously.

Additionally, according to federal regulations, joy riding in a golf cart is considered an incident of motor vehicle theft, even if the cart is returned. Anyone involved (either as a driver or passenger) in taking a golf cart will be fined a minimum of $150 and will also be responsible for cleaning and damage charges.

Students who operate a golf cart are required to complete a 30-minute training on operating a golf cart, rules of use, and driver proficiency test. They are responsible for charging it in the correct location and securing it with a boot or security device.  Parking a golf cart on a path or blocking a door is not permitted.  All golf carts have a maximum number of people that can ride. Exceeding this number can cause injury. Golf carts used in the dark must be driven with the headlights on. Any golf cart found unlocked (not booted) can be taken by Campus Safety and will only be returned by the transportation department or manager. Any accident or damage to the golf cart must be reported to Campus Safety and/or the transportation manager. In the case of a golf cart crash that causes injuries or property damage, please reach out to the transportation manager and Campus Safety to complete a report of the incident. Campus Safety maintains an up-to-date list of who is assigned to campus golf carts.
